The Role: Finishing Technician (view full description here)

The Task: In accordance with design specifications, safely and efficiently finish worsted and woolen fabrics to achieve the desired weight, texture, and color standards.

More than learning the science of finishing fine fabrics, you will master the art of making gorgeous out of good.

What we are asking from you:

  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude.
  • Know and adhere to all Company safety rules and policies.
  • Safely and efficiently set up and operate various finishing machines to support American Woolen’s finishing processes.
  • Constantly patrol finishing equipment to maintain Company design and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and neat working area.
  • Meet daily production and quality standards.
  • Immediately report noted irregularities in normal equipment operation and fabric irregularities.
  • Fulfill Company attendance requirements.

We are seeking team members who meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Natural or corrected vision must be within a medically accepted normal range.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Manual dexterity with strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to stand, move around, crouch under and bend over finishing equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb. pieces of fabric.
  • Ability to work hard and work accurately for an entire workday.
  • Strong desire to rebuild your community. 

The Details:

  • Monday through Friday: 6am to 2pm.
  • Extremely competitive pay with opportunity of six-month review.
  • Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance
  • Paid vacation, sick, and/or personal time.
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 3%.
The Role: Weaving Technician (view full description here)
The Task: In accordance with design specifications, safely and efficiently weave warp and filling yarns into a fabric of predetermined length, width, weight, design, and color.
Weaving technicians learn the art and science of weaving on electronic looms and create amazing cloth.
What we are asking from you:
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude.
  • Know and adhere to all Company safety rules and policies.
  • Safely and efficiently set up and operate various weaving machines to support American Woolen’s design and manufacturing processes.
  • Constantly patrol weaving equipment to maintain Company design and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and neat working area.
  • Meet daily production and quality standards.
  • Immediately report noted irregularities in normal equipment operation and/or yarn/fabric irregularities.
  • Fulfill Company attendance requirements.
